MHS Academics

Educational Opportunities!

This school is above the state average in key measures of college and career readiness.

MHS recently added the STEM Academy programs to its Academics in 2015. It Started with about 100 ninth graders from across the district, and 100 students will be added each year until the program enrolls about 400 students across grades 9-12.  There are no fees associated with being a part of the STEM Academy.  Students in the STEM Academy will have a chance to complete a number of first year STEM college courses prior to high school graduation.  Students will also be able to advance their STEM education outside the classroom with opportunities such as internships, mentorships, job shadowing, community service, enrichment programs and summer learning opportunities.

Martin High School offers 31 AP courses, and 24 percent of students participate in those classes. For AP tests, the school’s pass rate is above the district average, with 67% of students passing all AP tests. Compare this to the district rate of 49 percent.

In addition to the basics, Students are able to participate in Wold Languages Classes, numerous Advanced Placement programs, Career and Technology Classes, Technology Applications, Health and Physical education as well as Fine Arts.
